How Did The Band Start And Where Are They From

In 2004 brothers Scott and Grant Hutchison started “Frightened Rabbit” in Glascow, Scotland. Scott, a guitarist and Grant, a percussionist were beginning to record some demos of songs they had written. After recieving encouragement from family and friends the brothers added another guitarist to the band, their friend Billy. The three started doing the pub and music venues of Glascow, gaining a slow but sure reputation for their work. While continuing their tour they began working on their first album.Want more? They recorded at a local, Glascow studio even though they originally planned to record at the home recording studio. “Sing the Greys” came out on their own lable and by the middle of 2006 relviews were very enthusiastic. Shortly before the 2008 release of “Midnight Organ Flight” , keyboard player Andy Monaghan was added to the group. The fifth member of the band, Gordon Skene, joined in 2009 during the recording of “The Winter of Mixed Drinks”. The energetic and almost nervous quality of their music makes the moniker “Frightened Rabbit” work. The Hutchison brothers art had a slow but steady start in Glascow, Scotland and, like their music, is forging ahead in a big and incredible way. Here’s “Frightened Rabbit”.
