Who Are Some Of Frightened Rabbit’s Musical Influences?
Posted by: admin / Category: UncategorizedAs fellow lovers of Frightened Rabbit I know you also appreciate their immense talent and lyrics that haunt you with meaning. It’s incredibly interesting the genres that have influenced Frightened Rabbit. All band members say they love of pop music and love when they can use a pop principal with a twist. A huge influence in the direction of Frightened Rabbit were the Delgados. In one interview Scott Hutchinson said that prior to the Delgados he had been listening to a lot of loud, head-banging music. The Delgados brought to his the realization that music can go deeper, hit a real emotional cord and resonate even after you finish listening.I was looking for more information and found it here. The same with Ryan Adams, whom Hutchinson also said was a big influence particularly on his early writing. He saw in Adams that music could be simple and powerful at the same time. When asked about specific other musical influences the band has sited The Twilight Sad, Band of Horses, The Band, Right on Dynamite and TV on the Radio. Mostly though they say their musical influence comes from all sorts of places – inspiration takes the form of whatever artist they happen to be rocking out to that day.
