The Revolutionary Fashions of Fast Fashion

Fashion is a style of self-expression and autonomy in a certain time and location and at a certain context, of attire, footwear, makeup, hair, accessories, lifestyle, and body language. The word in its broader sense implies a definite style distinguished by the fashion industry as what is trendy at that moment. Thus, what is fashionable today, could be regarded as trash yesterday or merely popular today if nobody is buying it. But what is definitely fashionable has been a subject of discussion for a long time now.

Every year, different fashion houses present different styles, designs, colors, textures, sizes, shapes, and forms. Some of them make a lot of money out of this, while others fold because nobody is buying their products. No matter how big the market of fashion is, everyone who has some knowledge about fashion can easily recognize the newest trends. To keep up with the fast developing trends in the fashion industry, it is essential for everyone to educate themselves about the different new trends and introduce their fashionable clothing styles to the public.

One of the most familiar names in the fast fashion world is Miley Cyrus. Her recent music single, “Wrecking Ball”, was made by her and she has become a sensation throughout the world with her unique sense of dressing. She was also responsible for bringing hip-hop into the forefront of pop culture when her videos for the songs “Hannah Hanks” and “We Can’t Have That” were very popular. Miley Cyrus also made her debut as a singer on the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance”, a series which eventually went all around the world. Other popular celebrities with a strong influence on the fast fashion world include Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Fiona Apple, Halle Berry, Nicole Richie, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Jessica Simpson, Leighton Meester, Lenny Kravitz, and Nicole Ritchie.

Apart from celebrities, fashion houses have introduced new styles in the fast fashion world with great success. As we all know that it is the artists in any given fashion house that decides what is hot and what is not. Fashion designers are also influenced by the latest trends in the market to introduce their collections. A designer might introduce a new style in a bridal showroom, but it may never be seen by many people because it does not fit into the latest demands in the market. A good example would be the long flowing gowns, which many brides wear during summer. These dresses are perfect for the warmer months, but it will never be a hit because of its impracticality.

A major reason for the ever increasing popularity of fast fashion is the increase in disposable income that people have. More people are able to afford more clothing that they want and thus, they can buy more new trends that keep on appearing. This has been the case since the beginning of fast fashion. The only difference today is that people spend a lot more money on new trends, than they did a few years ago. Thus, fashion houses have capitalized on this trend and established name brand clothing lines.

Some fashions are in huge demand in certain seasons, but they become obsolete after some time. New fashions introduce new trends in the market, but most of the times, these fashions become popular again after they wear out. Fast fashion has certainly revolutionized the way people dress. It has become a part of everyday life for most people, and this has become a part of our culture. Thus, we can no longer deny that fashions like casual wear and trendy clothing play an important role in defining modern fashion.
